As the Director of Star Disability Support, I wear many hats—mother, wife, grandmother, and passionate advocate for community care. I married my high school sweetheart, Rob, on a beautiful beach in Noosa, and together, we’ve built a life centered on love, family, and raising our three amazing children.
I grew up in Brisbane, surrounded by my big, vibrant Italian family. As the eldest of six, our household was always filled with laughter, lively conversations, and plenty of delicious food. My parents embraced an open-door policy—friends and extended family were always welcome at our dinner table, sometimes even staying with us for a while. From a young age, I learned the importance of love, support, and community—values that continue to shape who I am today.
While motherhood is my greatest achievement, I’m also incredibly proud of my 20-year career in the community sector. I started in childcare, transitioned to aged care, and eventually found my true passion in the disability sector. Founding Star Disability Support in 2020 was a dream come true—driven by my deep desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
At Star Disability Support, I’ve worked hard to build a team of compassionate support workers who share my vision and values. Just like my parents’ open-door policy, I want our company to be a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and truly welcomed. Making a positive impact and fostering genuine connections is at the heart of everything we do.

We wanted to make a positive change in the way the world viewed people with a disability and the stigmas that comes with it.
We are also very passionate about mental health and are very aware that it is also a big concern among both young and older people today.
We have seen so many peoples lives affected by their mental health, and it can be life-changing not only for them but for their whole families.
Being a family-owned company we want families to be apart of the process and move forward as a unified establishment, as we know just how important family is.
Last Friday night we gathered for the STAR Disability's 5th Birthday. What a wonderful night of music, singing, awards, dinner and cake. We have been with the Star Disability Support for three and a half years now Glenda loves belonging to the STAR DS family.
These last few years have seen her thriving. I have been able to take a breath. She loves her friends. She loves her staff members and they truly get her.
Here's to family led, heart focused groups and organisations who are truly person centred.
I have been at star Disability Support over five years and like how they help me and they are a good companion. Without star I don’t know where I would have ended up. If it wasn’t for , Marisa and Rob I would still be in a bad house. They make me feel like family. and I thank you Mum for supporting me all through it and the best company ever you can’t get better than Star Disability.
